LAW ENFORCEMENT APPRECIATION BANQUET—Saturday, February 25—social hall. Reception: 6:30 PM; Dinner: 7:00 PM. Cost: $25/couple; $12.50/single. Please plan to attend and honor the men & women who put their lives on the line each day for us.

Right to Life Oratory contest open to high school students ~ Topics include stem cell research, death penalty, Euthanasia, and abortion. Held on Thursday, April 12 at 6 PM at Aquinas College. Go to www.tntrl.org for details. Cash prizes and scholarships awarded to winners.

FEBRUARY is CATHOLIC PRESS MONTH Time to renew or order your subscription to the Diocese of Nashville’s Catholic newspaper, The Tennessee Register. Envelopes are provided in your monthly envelope packet as well as on the table in the narthex. Cost = $26, payable to St. Catherine Church, and may be dropped in the collection basket any time.

Check out the display in the Narthex of CDs available for purchase. You can now learn about a variety of vital topics like marriage, raising children, why go to Mass or read the Bible, why be Catholic--an opportunity to really learn and grow in our Catholic faith--all at your convenience! Suggested donation: $3 each (1/2 off retail price); 4 CDs for $10; or the complete set of 9 CDs for $20. Make checks payable to St. Catherine.

Grocery store gift cards are always available for your use through the Knights of Columbus at St. Catherine. Need a $25 or $100 Kroger gift card? You pay $25/ $100 and buy that amount of merchandise or gas from them. Kroger cards are ‘re-loadable’ meaning that once you buy the card from the Knights, each time you reload, they get the credit. Gift cards are also available for Food Lion. (The Knights buy ‘in bulk’ and get a discounted rate thereby benefiting our church.) Monies raised go back to the church. For example: providing the 2011 Catholic calendars; generous to computer fund; bingo & door prizes for Senior Citizen monthly luncheons, furnishing the kitchen & courtyard, the T-shirts worn during VBS. KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS VOCATION PANCAKE BREAKFAST To benefit religious vocations will take place on Sunday, February 19th after each Mass in the social hall. Cost: Donations accepted.

Diocesan Why Catholic Faith Enrichment Workshop on Prayer, presented by Renew Int’l ~ All are welcome; no cost; no RSVP. The same talk is offered twice; choose a time most convenient to attend. Cathedral of the Incarnation: Sunday, Feb. 12 from 2:00-4:00 PM; or, Monday, Feb. 13 from 7:00-9:00 PM.
